Bryant's Gulley Guided Scramble

Bryant's gulley makes for an absolutely fantastic scramble which follows the natural path of a steep flowing stream interspersed with small waterfalls. It is best saved for a hot sunny day after a spell of dry weather, or when the weather is poor and you've accepted that you're going to get wet anyway. Make no mistake though, this isn't a gorge walk, but a legitimate scramble, and an excellent one at that.

Starting near the road on the LLanberis Pass, the scramble takes an almost direct line up the Western flanks of the Glyderau to top out near the summit of Glyder Fawr (The highest mountain of this group). The scrambling is almost continuous, from the road to the summit, and is varied and interesting throughout. It is relatively straight forward for the most part, although there are a couple of tricky steps and one short section which climbs a steep wall out of the river bed. With the help our mountain guides, any novice should be able to complete the route so long as they are of reasonable fitness.

This scramble is considered a grade 3, however, all of the difficult sections can be avoided and the route lacks the exposure of other grade 3s. Combine this with the help of our experienced mountain guides and it will feel far easier than the grade would suggest.
