Creigiau Gleision Circular Walk
The Creigiau Gleision Circular Walk is a favourite of ours. Although walks around the lake LLyn Cryfnant are popular, few people venture into the surrounding hills. The landscape is spectacular and the views towards Tryfan and the Glyderau mountain range are sublime.
The route
Many variations are possible but we feel the best way is to drive past Llyn Crafnant to the small parking area beyond the lake. From here walk up the hill to the small summit of Crimpiau. The route then meanders around to the summit of Creigiau Gleision at a very modest 634m above sea level before descending through a magical (although sometimes wet) pine quilted forest.
Difficulty
At only 7.6km and 543m total ascent, this is the easiest walk we offer and can be completed in a half day.
